One of the first things that comes to mind is that most people think of the RV garage as being on the side of the home. Wide lots are almost extinct in good locations. Think down the hill, in front, in back, underneath or behind, and it will open up new vistas. Part of the reason is that to have room for the additional garage space to the side, you may need to spend another $40,000 for the lot because they are that rare.
So, let us think differently. Example, there are a few RE lots that are 100 ft. x 100 ft, where 3000 plus sq. ft. of garages can be on the ground floor and the living space on the second floor with a lake view. There is a gorgeous lake view on Arizona Pl. for $139,000 that would work for an over-under. There are some great lots on Peruvian Drive where you could build 2000 sq. ft. of garages in front of the house. The lots are $119,000 to $139,000. There are four or five lake view lots where your home could be above and 2000 sq. ft. of garages or more would be level off the street. Forever lake view lots are location, location, location. The first step again is to see your realtor, but you will need to up your price range to a minimum of $130,000 and open the doors to $160,000. Specifically, the Palo Verde N, lakeside of highway, Amigo, Kibby, Kicking Horse, Pocahantas to Kiowa area, Pacific area, Flying Cloud, Amberjack, Holiday, Commanche, RE-golf course areas and the streets immediately around them will save you a great deal of time. Peruvian Drive is borderline or can fit at the bottom end , only because there are some $399,000 to $599,000 homes on the street and with sufficient empty lots to know that the neighborhood will stay new
